I have to tug on a sweater for our morning walks. Leave the broom on the porch to keep the leaves at bay. Count calories more deliberately as the candy aisles turn orange. (Sigh. Candy corn.)
Our yearly fall traditions include your typical pumpkin carving, trick or treating, and annual reading of “Room on the Broom.” (Never gets old.)
Rinse. Repeat.
But is it okay to do the same thing with our memories? Are we missing out on unique experiences?
If you’re looking for a unique fall destination, I have a few ideas in mind.
- Raise your hand if you like to be scared. (Not me.) Then Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights is the place for you.
- Raise your hand if you like a less crowded beach. (Please.) Then a North Carolina beach would be just the place.
- Raise your hand if you like hiking boots and scenery. (Maybe.) Then Sedona, Arizona is calling your name.
It’s not too late to plan a weekend away at any of these places.
And it’s definitely not too late to make fresh fall memories with your people and your favorite sweater.
