Hurricane Thoughts

Oct 28, 2025

It was last summer.

Beryl was coming through and we couldn’t get off the island.

We hunkered down in our Jamaican Sandals resort for what seemed like a lifetime.

The next morning there were no flights. No way home. The Delta rep estimated 2 weeks before the airport reopened.

And I wept.

But the following day we heard something. A plane. Taking off from the airport several miles away.

And the beach we were sitting on erupted in cheers!

That next afternoon we flew home. Relieved. Thankful.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because last summer our hearts were linked to Jamaica. To the Sandals GM who patiently explained hurricane protocol to us. To the driver who got us down the mountain the morning before Beryl hit.

So maybe I’ll send you several all-inclusive locations when you request a quote. But I can guarantee a few of them will be in Jamaica.

Why?

It’s a special place. One that flourishes through tourism. One that cares for its people.

Thank you Jamaica.
